Day 39: Sailing and Stripes

Today, I have a dress that has been a constant companion over the years. It has a wonderful, whimsical flow to it and a smart design. The stripes are not perfectly horizontal, which is ideal considering that that is not very flattering on most people. Unlike a lot of long dresses, this one doesn't get in the way due to the strategic placement of shorter fabric in the front and sides. It is a lovely dress to have gotten from a garage sale for so cheap, and its quality never wavers. The necklace actually came on the gold chain, so I put the rope-like nature of the chain to good use by matching it to a bracelet with a similar design. The white and various blues on the charm are all accounted for in the stripes of the dress. I've mentioned before, in Breezy Blue, that the price of these shoes is unknown, but they are not that important to the look and other black or white or blue shoes could be worn at the discretion of the wearer.  The ensemble has a certain simplicity to it with the lack of loud jewelry, yet still maintains an unending beauty.
Dress: $ 2
Necklace:$. 50
Bracelet:$.25
Outfit : $ 2.75
Wear what you want because chances are, society doesn't care nearly as much about what you're wearing as you do. Most people won't even notice or if they do, they won't say anything. In other words, don't be afraid of what people Might say. Care more about you Will feel.
