The Aztecs' symbols were very intricate and the circular designs on this dress are reminiscent of those emblems. The leading lines are gorgeous and bring the word empire to mind, maybe because the middle section reminds me of a tall building. Purple was my color of choice to bring to the center stage from this dress and the silver belt goes along with the silver in the jewelry. It was difficult to capture the color in the necklace's stones, but it is the same as the deep plum in the middle of the earrings. The black shoes coincide with the outlining in the dress and pretty much any semi-formal black shoes would have worked, from boots, to flats, to sandals, to heels. Such a detailed dress does not need much to complement it as it is beautiful all on its own.
